Care Instructions
Earrings incorporate 14K gold filled or antique brass ear wires. Post earrings have sterling silver ear posts. Brass components are protected with a lacquer finish but you can expect natural oxidation to occur with all metals. It is always best to treat your jewelry gently to keep it looking it's best thus putting your jewelry on last and taking it off first is a good rule of thumb.

Storing your jewelry in airtight plastic bags can minimize natural oxidation that occurs with metals. I like to keep my earrings separated in small plastic bags to prevent scratching.

Please do not bathe, shower, workout, swim or sleep in your jewelry. Avoid contact with perfume, lotions, hairspray and any harsh chemicals. Clean when necessary with a soft cloth and store gently when not in use. For items made with resin please avoid prolonged contact with water.

Magnetic Clasps

Opening a magnetic clasp is easy when you do the following:

Take in each hand a part of the clasp and pull the clasp (and your hands) in the opposite direction. Or...take in each hand a part of the clasp and ‘break’ it.  Never ever pull on the leather to open the clasp.

Closing a magnetic clasp is easy since one magnet is ‘looking’ for the other and when they find each other they close.

If you have any pacemaker or other implant devices that might be affected by magnetic fields please check with your doctor for any guidance.

Jewel Beetles (used in some of my resin pieces)

Jewel beetles are not bred in captivity as they start out as a wood-boring insect in the forests of Thailand.  They can spend as much as 2-3 years in rotting foliage and trees and when they emerge they are transformed into a flying beetle.  After they mate and lay their eggs in trees they die.  The beetles are then collected from the forest floor by local people as a food source.  The beetle wings are simply a byproduct of a naturally occurring food source.

I transform the beetle wings into beautiful jewelry by meticulously hand-cutting and hand-setting each piece in a mosaic design coated with resin.

Your order will arrive artfully packaged in tissue paper and a beautiful sheer organza storage or gift bag. In addition, you will receive a business and care card.
